Pursue! Overtake! Recover All!

And David inquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. 1st Samuel 30:8

My God, I am excited about this word today! Has life been hitting you hard? Has the enemy been roaring his head, stealing, killing, and destroying everything in sight? Believe me; I understand because everyone I know has been going through one thing or another. The attacks have been insurmountable; some have me shaking my head and wondering what is going on. But to be honest, the trials and hardships we are facing are really working for our good. Yes, I know it does not feel that way, but God uses every situation and circumstance for His glory, which adds great testimony to your story.

We witness this in today's verse. David and his men are having an emotional meltdown because their families have been taken captive by the Amalekites. David inquires of the Lord, asking Him how to handle the situation, and God tells him to PURSUE, OVERTAKE, AND RECOVER ALL!

Pursue means to go after or chase down.

Overtake means to come upon suddenly or without expectation.

Recover means to find or regain possession.

My sister or brother, what has the enemy stolen from you? Is it your peace, finances, health, relationships, business, job, marriage, ministry, mind, or emotions? Whether it is one thing or all of them, God is commanding that you PURSUE, OVERTAKE, and RECOVER ALL!

Don't just sit back and watch the enemy run away with your life and possessions. DO NOT give him the satisfaction of sulking when you have been given the power to TREAD upon him and to crush him by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is not the time to cower in spiritual fear but to believe that God can and will back you in your pursuit to get your life back.

On your mark! Get set! Get ready! Now PURSUE, OVERTAKE, and RECOVER ALL! It belongs to you anyway. Jesus already paid the price for it!!!!!
